Lincoln County TV, Cable Channel 7, is happy to announce we are accepting entries for the 2nd ANNUAL "SUMMER SHORTS" AMATEUR FILM FESTIVAL. The 2005 festival was an unqualified success with eight submissions, but we hope to have even more this year! Last year, the production team of Keely Walsh, Tiffany Look and Nell Smith created "One O'clock News," a comedy, which tied for 1st place with "Chess Dances," an animated short produced by Jian Giglia. The audience favorites were presented certificates during the awards ceremony which was showcased on "Art's Video Grab Bag". We will have a gala televised award ceremony this year, too.

We encourage anyone of any age and experience to contribute an original film, no more than 5 minutes in length including credits. The subject matter and style is of your own choosing; comedy, documentary, drama, monologue - you name it. Formats can include vhs, supervhs, dvd and minidv. Entries must be accompanied by a completed Request Air Time For a Video or Live Show "Request for Airtime" form which may be downloaded from this website or we can mail it to you. This form contains guidance concerning content, language, copyrights, permissions, etc.

All submissions must be received by Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Please mail or drop off to: LCTV, 29 Sheepscot Road, Newcastle, ME 04573.

Starting on August 5, 2006, qualified submissions will be shown multiple times on Channel 7 for 10 days and will be judged based on audience response. Schedule of showings and results of the voting will be advertised in the newspapers, on the Channel 7 televised bulletin board and posted on this website.
